• Pre-heat your oven to 180C/ 350F/ Gas Mark 5
  • In a bowl mix together the creme fraiche and the cheese and season with salt and pepper. If you like Dijon mustard at this stage
  • Lay out four slices of bread and cover them all with the cheese mixture 
  • Place each slice of ham on one slice of bread and then lay a second slice of bread on top to make a sandwich. The cheese mix must be facing upwards on the top of the sandwich
  • Bake in the oven for 20 minutes. The bread will toast, the topping will go golden and the filling will be deliciously melting
  • Serve immediately
